PPD or Personality Progress
Development is a program we used to have in our 1st and 2nd years of University
life. It was designed to help us develop our skills and behaviors to match our
professional and social environments. We have done many activities in our PPD
sessions over the years. But my favorite activity was the one called
"Round-Robin".
Round-robin was a very
interesting activity we did few times in our PPD sessions. The way we did it
was someone (most of the times it was one of our demonstrators) starts a story
and tell the story for a minute and then the next person has to start telling
the story from the position where the last person stops using the last word of
the last person said. The fun part was the story. Since everyone had very
different imaginations the flow of the story gets very interesting over the
time. Sometimes the story might start from a guy eating a burger and it will go
through an alien invasion, an extinction event, a cartoon character saves the
day and someone saying the burger story again. The way this game improved our
skills was it challenged our imagination and quick thinking. It also asks us to
pay attention when the other person speaks. It was a great activity to do in
the class and I really enjoyed it a lot.
